Sofie Bronn writes urban fantasy and historical fantasy, with a particular interest in folklore, magic, history, and the hidden worlds that exist alongside our own.

The Zora Fearglas Series

Sofie is currently working on Scarlet Souls, the first novel in the Zora Fearglas urban fantasy series. The series follows Zora Fearglas, a part-time bar manager and budding magic-user whose life begins to take an unexpected turn.

The first novel is set in Prague, a city whose folklore, history, and fairytale-like atmosphere have long fascinated Sofie. Its streets, legends, hidden corners, and layers of history have become part of the inspiration for the world of Zora Fearglas.

The Council of Elders Series

Sofie is also developing The Council of Elders, a historical fantasy series set in seventeenth-century Europe.

The first book, Crone Magic, introduces Magda, a young witch whose fierce personality and determination quickly draw her into a world of magic, danger, and discovery.

Both series explore different aspects of magic and the relationship between the ordinary and the extraordinary, while drawing inspiration from history, folklore, and the places in which their stories unfold.
